Pier Paolo Pasolini (; 5 March 1922 – 2 November 1975) was an Italian poet, filmmaker, writer and intellectual who also distinguished himself as a journalist, novelist, translator, playwright, visual artist and actor. He is considered one of the defining public intellectuals in 20th-century Italy, influential both as an artist and a political figure. A controversial personality due to his straightforward style, Pasolini's legacy remains contentious. ''Arabian Nights'' is a 1974 Italian film directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. Its original Italian title is ', which means ''The Flower of the One Thousand and One Nights''. The film is an adaptation of the ancient Arabic anthology '' One Thousand and One Nights'', also known as the ''Arabian Nights''. It is the last of Pasolini's "Trilogy of Life", which began with '' The Decameron'' and continued with '' The Canterbury Tales''. ''Ragazzi di vita'' (; English: literally ''boys of life'', idiomatically ''hustlers'') is a novel by Italian author, poet and intellectual Pier Paolo Pasolini. It was published in 1955. Conegliano (; Venetian: ''Conejan'') is a town and ''comune'' of the Veneto region, Italy, in the province of Treviso, about north by rail from the town of Treviso.
