Parveen Rana
Parveen Rana (born 12 November 1992) is an Indian freestyle wrestler. He gained recognition after winning a gold medal at the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2008. In 2019, he won the silver medal in the men's 79 kg event at the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Xi'an, China. Early life Parveen, son of Udaybhan Rana and Rajbala, was born in the village of Qutubgarh, Delhi. His father identified his skills at an early age. He started wrestling at the age of five, under the guidance of his elder brother. He currently trains in Philadelphia in United States under the guidance of Olympian medalist Yogeshwar Dutt. Yogeshwar Dutt is role model of Parveen Rana. His wrestling relies primarily on swift counter-attacks. Yogeshwar Dutt
Yogeshwar Dutt (born 2 November 1982) is an Indian freestyle wrestler. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the 60 kg category. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013. He won gold medals at the 2010 and the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He is one of only 5 male wrestlers in India to win an Olympic medal. Early life Dutt was born in Bhainswal Kalan village in Sonipat district of Haryana. He first started wrestling at the age of eight in his native village and idolised Balraj Pehlwan. Narsingh Pancham Yadav (born 6 August 1989) is an Indian wrestler. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he won the gold medal in the men's freestyle 74 kg category. He was banned for 4 years and barred from the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro by the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appealed against the decision of the National Anti-Doping Agency to allow him to compete even after he failed a doping test by testing positive for anabolic steroids. Pro Wrestling League
The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) is an Indian sport wrestling promotion that was first established in 2015. It was initiated by ProSportify and Wrestling Federation of India. Structure The Pro Wrestling League includes six franchises, which represent cities throughout India. The teams are formed via auction. The league adheres to United World Wrestling rules for all weight categories. All the seasons so far of PWL hosted six teams, each consisting of 9 players. During the group stage all the team meet each other once. While the top after group stages qualifies to the playoffs. During group stages out of 9 weight categories 7 category bouts are held, the teams gets to block any one category bouts they want, they have to play all bouts even if they win the match before the last bout.
