Park City School District
Park City School District (PCSD) is a school district headquartered in Park City, Utah that serves over 4,500 students. The district's service area includes the portion of Park City in Summit County (almost all of Park City), the census designated places of Summit Park and Snyderville, the vast majority of the Silver Summit CDP, and a portion of the East Basin CDP. History Jill Gildea became the superintendent in 2018. In 2018 the school district bought a house that would be used as the residence of its superintendent. In 2022 the board of trustees set 2024 as the new expiration date for the contract of Gildea. In late 2022, Park City School District committed to plans that would demolish Treasure Mountain Junior High School, moving Eighth graders at Ecker Hill Middle and Ninth graders at Park City High. Park City is a city in Utah, United States. The vast majority is in Summit County, and it extends into Wasatch County. It is considered to be part of the Wasatch Back. The city is southeast of downtown Salt Lake City and from Salt Lake City's east edge of Sugar House along Interstate 80. The population was 8,396 at the 2020 census. On average, the tourist population greatly exceeds the number of permanent residents. Summit County, Utah
Summit County is a county in the U.S. state of Utah, occupying a rugged and mountainous area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 36,324. Its county seat is Coalville, and the largest city is Park City. History The county was created by the Utah Territory legislature on January 13, 1854, with its description containing a portion of the future state of Wyoming. It was not organized then but was attached to Great Salt Lake County for administrative and judicial purposes. The county government was completed by March 4, 1861, so its attachment to the other county was terminated. The county boundaries were altered in 1856 and in 1862. A census-designated place (CDP) is a concentration of population defined by the United States Census Bureau for statistical purposes only. East Basin, Utah
East Basin is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Summit County, Utah, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. It is in the southwest part of the county, bordered to the northwest by Silver Summit and to the southwest by Snyderville. It is northeast of Park City. Interstate 80 forms the northwest border of the CDP; the highway leads northeast to Coalville and west to Salt Lake City. U.S. Routes 40 and U.S. Route 189 turn south from I-80 at Silver Creek Junction along the northwest edge of the CDP; the U.S. highways lead south to Heber City. KUTV (channel 2) is a television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, affiliated with CBS. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside independent station KJZZ-TV (channel 14) and St. George–licensed MyNetworkTV affiliate KMYU (channel 12, formerly solely a satellite station of KUTV from its 1999 sign-on to 2008). KPCW is a public radio station in Park City, Utah, serving Summit and Wasatch counties broadcasting at 91.7 FM, Coalville and Kamas at 88.1 FM, and the Heber Valley at 91.9 FM. In addition to local news and information, it carries national and international news from NPR, PRI and the BBC. KPCW is owned by Community Wireless of Park City. The programs of KPCW(FM) were also carried on KPMD, 88.1, Evanston, Wyoming until 2011. Community Wireless also formerly operated KCPW-FM in Salt Lake City, but that station was sold to a new organization, Wasatch Public Media, in 2008.
