Paraschiva Iubu
Tudor Paraschiva (27 December 1919 – 15 May 1967) was a Romanian association football striker. Club career Tudor Paraschiva was born in Bucharest on 27 December 1919 and made his debut in Divizia A on 16 September 1939, playing for Unirea Tricolor București in a 3–2 loss against Rapid București. Under the guidance of player-coach Ștefan Cârjan he helped Unirea Tricolor win the Divizia A title in the 1940–41 season, contributing with two goals scored in 7 matches. In 1946, he went to play for Jiul Petroșani, a club where he would spend 10 seasons, scoring 66 goals in 208 Divizia A matches. Paraschiva ended his playing career at Minerul Lupeni, having a total of 238 Divizia A matches played and 71 goals scored. After he ended his playing career, Paraschiva was coach at Minerul Vulcan and in 1962 he became the first coach of newly founded club, Pandurii Târgu Jiu. Liga I
The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list. Stadionul Republicii
Stadionul Republicii (, ''Stadium of the Republic'') was a multi-use stadium in Bucharest, Romania. It was used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium was able to hold 28,026 spectators at its height and originally opened in 1926. It hosted 42 matches for the Romania national football team, 1 match for the Olympic National Team, 22 Romanian Football Cup finals and 15 European Cup matches. The stadium was originally built in 1926 as the Stadionul Oficiul Național de Educație Fizică, or simply Stadionul ONEF, and inaugurated on 9 May 1926 with a rugby match against the French army. 1954 FIFA World Cup Qualification
A total of 37 teams entered the 1954 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds, competing for a total of 16 spots in the final tournament.
