Papa Winnie (birth name Winston Carlisle Peters) is a reggae musician from St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean The Caribbean (, ) ( es, El Caribe; french: la Caraïbe; ht, Karayib; nl, De Caraïben) is a region of the Americas that consists of the Caribbean Sea, its islands (some surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and some bordering both the Caribbean Se .... His recordings often make mention of Rootsie and Boopsie, first named in his song of the same title from 1987. In an interview on Italian TV, he said that "Rootsie" and "Boopsie" were nicknames for the two children he just had from his recently married Italian girlfriend, but he gave no further information about the children's real names.
