Palmbomen
Palmbomen is the stage name of Amsterdam, Netherlands based musician Kai Hugo (born 1988). Palmbomen has released on NON Records, a label he helped found with his friend Bear Damen, and French label Kitsuné Maison. Palmbomen has also scored the soundtrack for the PlayStation Vita game Metrico as well as being featured on the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto V. Since 2015, Hugo has been releasing house music under the moniker Palmbomen II. Beginnings Hugo's first project for the label NON Records was entitled Ganz Nackisch. After a few songs, he decided to ditch the hard sound of this project for a more tropical one. Only being asked to fill in for a cancelled artist was the name Palmbomen chosen, which is the Dutch word for palm trees. NON Records
NON Records is an independent record label based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in 2010 by musician and graphic designer Bear Damen, the label is known for electronic music with an emphasis on analog recording techniques. The current roster of artists included Bear Damen himself, as well as Palmbomen, THE BENELUX, Renkas, Marius, and HyperHyper. History NON Records began as a collaborative effort headed by Bear Damen in Amsterdam. The label emerged from a shared interest in creating electronic music for an international audience with a focus on analog recording techniques. Damen's home in Amsterdam served as both the headquarters and recording studio when the label launched in 2010. In addition to being a recording artist, Bear also works for the graphic design bureau Unknown User, responsible for the label's album and promotional artwork. ''Metrico'' is a puzzle-platform game developed and published by independent Dutch developer Digital Dreams for the PlayStation Vita. The music is by Dutch electronic music producer Palmbomen. The project was supported by the Dutch Game Garden, a studio incubation program. It was released in North America on 5 August 2014, and in Europe on 6 August 2014. ''Metrico'' was initially available for free for members of PlayStation Plus. A re-release of the original game with additional content was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 23 August 2016 entitled ''Metrico+''. Gameplay ''Metrico'' is a 3D-platform game, and levels often have simple colour-schemes. Typically, level backgrounds are a solid colour, and the midground may include visuals such as mountains, which are typically simple-toned prisms. Outsider House
Outsider house (originally spawned as outsider dance, also known as raw house) is a genre of house music combining elements of deep house, techno, noise, and ambient, with artists embracing lo-fi techniques rather than the polished cleanliness of mainstream deep house and other EDM genres.
