Palavas-les-Flots
Palavas-les-Flots (; Languedocien dialect, Languedocien: ''Palavà s'') is a Communes of France, commune in the Hérault Departments of France, department in the Occitania (administrative region), Occitanie Regions of France, region in southern France. Geography Palavas is a seaside resort, some six km south of Montpellier, at the Gulf of Lion and the Mediterranean. It lies on a strip of sand dunes that separates two lakes, the ''Étang de l'Arnel'' and the ''Étang du Méjean'', from the sea. Its neighbouring communities are Lattes, Hérault, Lattes, Pérols, Mauguio and Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone. The village center is located at the spot where the river Lez (river), Lez flows into the sea through a canalized section. Northwards, it stretches until Mauguio. Albert Dubout
Albert Dubout (15 May 1905 – 27 June 1976) was a French cartoonist, illustrator, Painting, painter, and sculpture, sculptor. Biography Albert Dubout was born in Marseille. After attending school at Nîmes (where he met Jean Paulhan) he studied at the fine arts school in Montpellier where he met his first wife, Renée Altier, and where his first drawings were published in the student journal ' in 1923. After moving to Paris, literary director Philippe Soupault was the first to hire him to illustrate a book, ' by Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux. Lattes (; oc, Latas) is a commune in the Hérault département in the Occitanie region in southern France, located just on the outskirts of Montpellier. Geography Lattes is located in the South of the prefecture of Montpellier in a plain split by the river Lez, that flows to the Mediterranean Sea at Palavas-les-Flots. Stretching from west to east, the hills announce the typical relief within the department. The territory of the municipality is partially liable to flooding, when the level of the Lez rises. Areas near the river Lez and the osson riverwere protected by dykes. Canal Du Rhône à Sète
The Canal du Rhône à Sète (lit. "canal from the Rhône to Sète") is a canal in southern France, which connects the Étang de Thau in Sète to the Rhône River in Beaucaire, Gard. The canal is made up of two previously constructed canals, the Canal des Étangs and Canal de Beaucaire. It connects with the Canal du Midi through the Étang de Thau. There is, however, no access to the Rhône at Beaucaire as the lock has been closed since the Vallebregues barrage was built. Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone (Occitan: ''Vilanòva de Magalona'') is a commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region in Southern France.
