The Pacte Progressista ( en, Progressive Pact, Pacte), officially the Pacte Progressista d'Eivissa ( en, Progressive Pact of Ibiza), was an electoral alliance formed in Ibiza by the Socialist Party of the Balearic Islands, United Left of Ibiza, The Greens of Ibiza, Entesa Nacionalista i Ecologista ( en, Nationalist and Ecologist Agreement of Ibiza) and Republican Left of Catalonia to contest the 1999 and 2003 regional elections. Eivissa Pel Canvi
Eivissa pel Canvi ( en, Ibiza for Change, ExC) was a political platform, and later a political party, formed in the island of Ibiza in 2006, to politically support the social movement against the beginning of constructions of new roads and highways the same year. The platform demanded a change in the Island Council and the Balearic governments, which were both controlled by the People's Party with a majority of seats. People's Party (Spain)
The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. 2000 Spanish General Election
The 2000 Spanish general election was held on Sunday, 12 March 2000, to elect the 7th Cortes Generales of the Kingdom of Spain. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as 208 of 259 seats in the Senate. The incumbent People's Party (PP) of Prime Minister José María Aznar secured an unpredicted absolute majority in the Congress of Deputies, obtaining 183 out of 350 seats and increasing its margin of victory with the opposition Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) to 2.4 million votes. Formentera (, ) is the smallest and most southerly island of the Pityusic Islands group (comprising Ibiza and Formentera, as well as various small islets), which belongs to the Balearic Islands autonomous community (Spain). Ibiza
Ibiza (natively and officially in ca, Eivissa, ) is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. It is from the city of Valencia.
