Paavo Rantanen
Paavo Rantanen (born 28 February 1934) is a Finnish former Foreign Ministry official who was briefly the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Rantanen was an undersecretary of foreign trade before becoming the Finnish ambassador to Washington. He worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for thirty years from 1958 to 1988. Heikki Haavisto (20 August 1935 – 22 July 2022) was a Finnish politician and lobbyist. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Esko Aho's cabinet between 1993 and 1995 representing Centre Party. Haavisto was a long-term chairman of MTK, a lobby organization of Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners. He was the chairman of the organization between 1976 and 1994. Tarja Halonen
Tarja Kaarina Halonen (; born 24 December 1943) is a Finnish politician who served as the 11th president of Finland, and the first woman to hold the position, from 2000 to 2012. She first rose to prominence as a lawyer with the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), and as the Prime Minister's parliamentary secretary (1974–1975) and a member of the City Council of Helsinki (1977–1996). Halonen was a Social Democratic Party member of parliament from 1979 until her election to the presidency in 2000.
