The PLK Best Defender is an annual award that is handed out in the Polish top basketball league, the PLK. The award is given to the best defensive player in a given PLK regular season. WKS Śląsk Wrocław is a Polish basketball club, based in Wrocław. Founded in 1948, Śląsk is the most decorated Polish basketball club, with 17 Polish League and 14 Polish cup championships. Ivan Ramljak
Ivan Ramljak (born August 9, 1990) is a Croatian professional basketball player for Śląsk Wrocław of the PLK. Standing at 2.03 m, he can play both forward positions. Professional career Ramljak, a native of Posušje, grew up in HKK Posušje where he played as a professional until 2009. He began his career in 2007, and made his ABA league debut in the 2009–10 season, when as a 19-year-old he played 10 games for Široki. In the 2012–13 season Ramljak averaged 7.6 pts, 3.9 reb and 1.1 ass in 24.1 min in the ABA League, while in the Bosnian League he averaged 7.7 pts, 14.5 reb, 1.4 assists in 22 minutes. The 2020–21 Polish Basketball League (PLK) season, the Energa Basket Liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 87th season of the Polish Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in Poland. The 2019–20 Polish Basketball League (PLK) season, the Energa Basket Liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 86th season of the Polish Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in Poland. Anwil Włocławek were the defending champions. On 17 March 2020, the league was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic. Stelmet Enea Zielona Góra were named champions. Teams 16 teams will participate this season. Enea Astoria Bydgoszcz and Śląsk Wrocław were promoted from the I Liga, while Miasto Szkla Krosno was relegated. Koszalin did not get a licence this season. The 2018–19 Polish Basketball League (PLK) season, the Energa Basket Liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 85th season of the Polish Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Poland. Anwil Włocławek defended its title and repeated as Polish champions. Teams Czarni Słupsk withdrew during the 2017–18 PLK season because of financial problems. On 17 May 2018, Spójnia Stargard promoted to the PLK as the winners of the I Liga, after defeating Sokół Łańcut 3–0 in the playoff finals. 2016–17 PLK Season
The 2016–17 Polish Basketball League was the 83rd season of the highest professional basketball tier in Poland and the 21st since the foundation of the Polish Basketball League. Teams As finishing in one of the two last positions during the two previous seasons, Siarka Tarnobrzeg lost its right to participate in the PLK. However, the club was invited to join the league. As champion of the previous I Liga, Miasto Szkła Krosno was promoted. After the ejection of Śląsk Wrocław, the league was played by 17 teams. The intention of PLK is to reduce the number of clubs in the PLK to 16 and to eliminate contracts by introducing regular promotions and relegations. For this season, three teams will be relegated to the I Liga. Rosa Radom, also known as HydroTruck Radom for sponsorship reasons, is a Polish professional basketball team based in Radom. Michał Sokołowski (born 11 December 1992) is a Polish professional basketball player for Beşiktaş Emlakjet of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Sokołowski usually plays as small forward.
