Martynas Paliukėnas (born 14 September 1993) is a Lithuanian basketball player for Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Standing at , he plays the shooting guard and small forward positions. Professional career From 2017 to 2019, Paliukėnas played with King Szczecin in the Polish PLK. He won the PLK Best Defender award in both seasons. On 9 November 2019 he signed with Polpharma Starogard Gdański of the Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK). On 11 February 2020 he signed with Trefl Sopot of the Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK). On 19 August 2021 he signed with CSM Oradea of the Liga Națională. On 19 June 2024, Paliukėnas signed with Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the BCL. The Basketball Champions League (BCL), also commonly known as the FIBA Champions League, is an annual professional basketball competition for European sports club, clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the European professional club basketball system, top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The Liga Națională de Baschet Masculin (LNBM) () is the top-tier professional basketball league of Romania. The winner of the league each season is crowned the Romanian national champion. Founded in 1950, the league consists of 24 teams playing in three different divisions. CSM Oradea, also known as simply Oradea, is a Romanian professional basketball club, based in Oradea. The club competes in the Liga Națională, the highest level of basketball in Romania. History CSM Oradea was founded in 2003, but the team promoted to the first division in 2005. The team best performance was in 2012 when they reached Romanian Cup semi-finals and in 2013 when the team won the 3rd place. Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) ( English: Polish Basketball League), officially known as the Orlen Basket Liga due to its sponsorship by Orlen, is a professional men's club basketball league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season.
