Pétanque (, ; oc, petanca, , also or ) is a sport that falls into the category of boules sports, along with Raffa (boules), raffa, bocce, boule lyonnaise, Bowls, lawn bowls, and Crown green bowls, crown green bowling. The 11th African Games took place from September 4–19, 2015 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo.
