Pål Kraby
Pål Fredrik Kraby (16 February 1932 - 8 August 2009) was a Norwegian businessperson and lawyer. Born in Lillehammer, Kraby became a Supreme Court barrister in 1968. He was the CEO of the Norwegian Employers' Confederation (NAF) from 1979 to 1987, having been assisting director since 1973. He was pressured to resign due to a lockout which failed. Having received a secret golden parachute, this was unveiled in 1992 by journalist Arne O. Holm. For this, Holm was awarded the SKUP Prize. Lockout (industry)
A lockout is a work stoppage or denial of employment initiated by the management of a company during a labour dispute. In contrast to a strike, in which employees refuse to work, a lockout is initiated by employers or industry owners. Lockouts are usually implemented by simply refusing to admit employees onto company premises, and may include changing locks or hiring security guards for the premises. SKUP Award (''SKUP-prisen'') is a Norway, Norwegian journalism award. It has been awarded annually since 1990 by the Norwegian Foundation for a Free and Investigative Press (''Stiftelsen for en Kritisk og Undersøkende Presse'') or SKUP.The award is a cube designed by Norwegian craftsman and goldsmith Synnøve Korssjøen, along with prize money. Ida Hjort Kraby (born 2 September 1960) is a Norwegian jurist. The daughter of Pål Kraby, Ida Hjort Kraby graduated from the University of Oslo as cand.jur. in 1988. She had worked as a research assistant there from 1986 to 1987 and was hired as a consultant in the Ministry of Justice and the Police in 1988. From 1990 to 1993 she was a deputy judge in Lofoten, and from 1993 to 2008 she was a lawyer at the Office of the Attorney General. Egil Myklebust (born 9 June 1942) is a Norwegian businessperson and lawyer. Since 2001 he has been chairman of the board of SAS Group. Born in Kvinnherad, Myklebust took a law degree from the University of Oslo in 1967, before starting work with the Norwegian Welfare Services (1968 to 1971).
