Pål Jonson
Pål Henning Jonson (born 30 May 1972) is a Sweden, Swedish politician of the Moderate Party. He has served as Minister of Defence (Sweden), Minister for Defence in the Kristersson Cabinet, cabinet of Ulf Kristersson since 2022. Biography Jonson was born on 30 May 1972, in Elgo on the northwestern shore of Lake Glafsfjord (Göta-Älv basin). Parents are farmers Bo Jonson and Marya Jonson. In 1991 he graduated from the sports gymnasium in Luxel. In 1998 he graduated from Georgetown University, where he studied international politics and received a bachelor's degree. He graduated with a Master of Arts in European politics from the College of Europe in 1999. In 2005, he completed his Ph.D. in military science from King's College London. The Minister for Defence of Sweden ( sv, försvarsminister; formal title: sv, statsråd och chef för försvarsdepartementet) is a member of the Government of Sweden ( sv, Regeringen). Kristersson Cabinet
The Kristersson Cabinet (Swedish: ''Regeringen Kristersson'') is the 57th Government of Sweden and is formed by Ulf Kristersson, leader of Moderate Party. It is a coalition government consisting of three parties: the Moderate Party, the Christian Democrats, and the Liberals. The cabinet works closely with the Sweden Democrats, in accordance with the Tidö Agreement backed by a majority in the Riksdag. Formation In the 2022 Swedish general election, the right-wing parliamentary faction consisting of the Sweden Democrats, Moderate Party, Christian Democrats, and Liberals won a slim majority of 176 out of 349 seats. Värmland () also known as Wermeland, is a '' landskap'' (historical province) in west-central Sweden. It borders Västergötland, Dalsland, Dalarna, Västmanland, and Närke, and is bounded by Norway in the west.
