"Pyramid" is the second single by Filipino pop and R&B singer Jake Zyrus, credited under his pre-gender transition name ''Charice''. The song features vocals from British Virgin Islands singer Iyaz, was written by David Jassy, Niclas Molinder, Joacim Persson, Johan Alkenäs and R&B singer-songwriter Lyrica Anderson, and produced by Twin and Alke. "Pyramid" is a midtempo pop ballad with lyrics that metaphorically describes the strength of a relationship. Jake Zyrus (formerly known under the mononym Charice; born 10 May 1992) is a Filipino singer and television personality. In 2007, after some appearances on Philippine television, Zyrus sang on ''The Ellen DeGeneres Show'', and the following year, he made several international television appearances, including on ''The Oprah Winfrey Show''. He then began performing in concerts with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli, among others. Zyrus released the studio album ''Charice'' in 2010; it entered the ''Billboard'' 200 at number eight, making it the first album of an Asian solo singer ever to land in the top 10. Chorus (or chorusing, choruser or chorused effect) is an audio effect that occurs when individual sounds with approximately the same time, and very similar pitches, converge. While similar sounds coming from multiple sources can occur naturally, as in the case of a choir or string orchestra, it can also be simulated using an electronic effects unit or signal processing device. When the effect is produced successfully, none of the constituent sounds are perceived as being out of tune. Simlish is a fictional language featured in EA's ''Sim'' series of games. It debuted in ''SimCopter'' (1996), and has been especially prominent in ''The Sims'' franchise, as well as in its spinoff ''MySims'' series. Simlish can also be heard in ''Sims 2''. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015.
