Puyo Puyo Chronicle
is a puzzle video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Nintendo 3DS, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ''Puyo Puyo'' series. It is the first release featuring 3D models for characters instead of the traditional 2D. In addition of the traditional mechanics, it introduces role-playing elements, allowing to have up to three allies in team, as well as over 60 side missions and introduces a new protagonist, Ally. Modes ''Puyo Puyo Chronicle'' offers a series of mechanics and modes present in previous releases, as well as a story mode in RPG format. RPG mode The main mode. ''Puyo Puyo'' (ぷよぷよ), previously known as ''Puyo Pop'' outside Japan, is a series of Tile-matching video game, tile-matching video games created by Compile (software company), Compile. Sonic Team
is a video game developer owned by the Japanese video game company Sega as part of its Sega CS Research and Development No. 2 division. Puyo Pop Fever
is a puzzle video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It is the fifth main installment in the ''Puyo Puyo'' puzzle game series and the second ''Puyo Puyo'' game to be programmed by Sonic Team after ''Puyo Pop'' (which was released just after the series' original developer, Compile, went bankrupt). This was the start of the what can be considered a reboot of the ''Puyo Puyo'' franchise, with this entry's plot revolving around Professor Accord losing her flying cane. Sega, which acquired the series' rights from Compile in 1998, published all the Japanese releases of the game, and also published the arcade and GameCube versions internationally.
