Purwakarta Regency
Purwakarta Regency is a landlocked regency ''(kabupaten)'' of West Java, Indonesia. The town of Purwakarta is its capital. The area of the Regency is 971.72 km2, and it had a population of 852,521 in the 2010 Census and 997,869 in the 2020 Census, while the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 1,011,466 for a density of 1,040.9 people per km2. Administrative districts The Purwakarta Regency is divided into seventeen districts (''kecamatan''), listed below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census and 2020 Census, tgether with the official estimates as at mid 2021. Standard Sundanese script (''Aksara Sunda Baku'', ) is a writing system which is used by the Sundanese people. It is built based on Old Sundanese script (''Aksara Sunda Kuno'') which was used by the ancient Sundanese between the 14th and 18th centuries. Currently the standard Sundanese script is also commonly referred to as the Sundanese script. History Old Sundanese was developed based on the Pallava script of India, and was used from the 14th until the 18th centuries. The last manuscript written in Old Sundanese script was ''Carita Waruga Guru.'' From the 17th to the 19th centuries, Sundanese was mostly spoken and not written. Anne Ratna Mustika
Anne Ratna Mustika (born 28 January 1982) is an Indonesian politician who is the regent of Purwakarta. She took office in 2018, succeeding her husband Dedi Mulyadi when his second term of office expired. She was the first female leader of the regency. Background Mustika was born in Gudang village, Cikalong Kulon, Cianjur Regency on 28 January 1982. Her father Usep Supriadi was a village chief and her mother Dedeh Sumiati was active in feminist movements. She completed her elementary, middle and high school in Cianjur, graduating high school in 2000 before later studying for a bachelor's degree in a Purwakarta economic institute, graduating in 2016. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistic composite index of life expectancy, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of human development. Subang is a town and the capital of the Subang Regency in West Java, Indonesia. It lies approximately southeast of Jakarta and northeast of Bandung by road. Jatiluhur Dam
The Jatiluhur Dam is a multi-purpose embankment dam on the Citarum River in West Java, Indonesia. It is located east of Jakarta, close to the medium-size town of Purwakarta. Jatiluhur Dam was designed by Coyne et Bellier and was constructed between 1957 and 1965 while the power station become operational in 1967. The dam serves several purposes including the provision of hydroelectric power generation, water supply, flood control, irrigation and aquaculture. The power station has an installed capacity of 186.5 MW which feeds into the Java grid managed by the state-owned electricity company ''Perusahaan Listrik Negara''.
