Bezirk Wien-Umgebung was a district of the state of Lower Austria in Austria. The district comprised four non-contiguous districts on the outer fringes of Vienna: Klosterneuburg and Gerasdorf to the north of the city, Schwechat to its south-east and Purkersdorf on Vienna's western side. Sandstein-Wienerwald Natural Park
The Sandstein-Wienerwald natural park (''Naturpark Sandsteinwienerwald'') is a natural park near Purkersdorf in the Vienna Woods (''Wienerwald''), Austria. Although a protected area under Austrian law, it is freely accessible. The park's 77 hectare area is mostly covered by beech forest. Its highest point is the '' Rudolfshöhe'' (475 m), on whose top a lookout tower has been constructed. Another hill, the '' Schöffelstein'' (431 m) features a memorial to Josef Schöffel, who is remembered as the "saviour of the Vienna Woods" on account of his 1872 campaign to protect the woods from logging. Gottfried Haberler
Gottfried von Haberler (; July 20, 1900 – May 6, 1995) was an Austrian-American economist. He worked in particular on international trade. One of his major contributions was reformulating the Ricardian idea of comparative advantage in a neoclassical framework, abandoning the labor theory of value for an opportunity cost concept. Early life Haberler was born in Austria-Hungary in 1900, and was educated in the Austrian School of economics. In 1936 he moved to the United States, joining the economics department at Harvard University. There he worked alongside Joseph Schumpeter. Sanary-sur-Mer (, literally ''Sanary on Sea''; oc, Sant Nari), popularly known as Sanary, is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Southeastern France. The Vienna Woods (german: Wienerwald) are forested highlands that form the northeastern foothills of the Northern Limestone Alps in the states of Lower Austria and Vienna.
