Pumdikot
Pumdikot is a hill station near Pokhara in Kaski District of Gandaki Province in Nepal. The place has a viewpoint at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, and has the second tallest statue of Shiva in Nepal, after Kailashnath Mahadev Statue. Shiva statue Pumdikot has the tallest statue of Shiva in Nepal. The statue itself is 51 feet tall. It sits on a white stupa that adds 57 feet in height, making the entire structure 108 feet high. The statue is part of a larger plan that is currently underway, which will include construction of Martyr’s memorial park, a model of mount Sumeru featuring Shiva and Parvati and ensuring that the entire park is accessible to persons with disabilities. The park is projected to be about 50% done, with the Shiva statue being completed in late 2021. The statue premises also has 108 Shiva lingas that encircle the statue at its base. Pokhara ( ne, पोखरा, ) is a metropolis, metropolitan city in Nepal, which serves as the capital of Gandaki Province. Kaski District ( ne, कास्की जिल्ला, ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The name is disambiguated from Kaskikot, the ancient Kaski Kingdom. Shiva (; sa, शिव, lit=The Auspicious One, Śiva ), also known as Mahadeva (; ɐɦaːd̪eːʋɐ, or Hara, is one of the principal deities of Hinduism. Gandaki Province
Gandaki Province ( ne, गण्डकी प्रदेश ) ), is one of the seven federal provinces established by the current constitution of Nepal which was promulgated on 20 September 2015. Pokhara is the province's capital city. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Bagmati Province to the east, Karnali Province to the west, and Lumbini Province and Bihar of India to the south. Kailashnath Mahadev Statue ( ne, कैलाशनाथ महादेव) is the second tallest Shiva statue in the world. It is currently the fifth tallest Hindu deity statue.It is situated in Sanga, Kavrepalanchok District in Nepal, about 20km from Kathmandu. Shanti Stupa, Pokhara
Pokhara Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist monument on Anadu Hill of the former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in the district of Kaski, Nepal (now a part of the city of Pokhara). Shanti Stupa in Pokhara was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myōhōji. Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace, also widely used in the Nepali and Hindi languages, and Shanti Stupa means Peace Pagoda. Shanti Stupa shrine was built as a symbol of peace. Situated at the height of 1100 meters on the Anadu Hill, Nichidatsu Fujii laid the foundation stone along with relics of the Buddha on 12 September 1973.
