Pulse (Music Group)
Pulse were the winners of the BBC reality show, '' Dance X''. Readers of '' The Sun'' newspaper chose the band's name. They signed a recording contract with Gut Records, and released their first single, "Dancing in Repeat", (written by Oscar Görres and Swedish popstar Danny Saucedo) as a digital download in August 2007, and as a CD single the following month. It debuted in the UK Singles Chart on 15 September 2007 at #91. During 2007 they supported Rihanna in the UK leg of her tour. Claire Mealor, Marie McGonigle, Marquelle Ward, Phoenix and Rana Roy started recording an album, but none was released. Recording Contract
A recording contract (commonly called a record contract or record deal) is a legal agreement between a record label and a recording artist (or group), where the artist makes a record (or series of records) for the label to sell and promote. Artists under contract are normally only allowed to record for that label exclusively; guest appearances on other artists' records will carry a notice "By courtesy of (the name of the label)", and that label may receive a percentage of sales. Britannia High
''Britannia High'' is a British musical drama television series co-produced by Granada Television and Globe Productions for the ITV network. The series focused on the lives of a group of teenagers and their mentors at a fictional London theatre school. It aired on ITV and TV3 Ireland, premiering on 26 October 2008. The show starred Sapphire Elia, Georgina Hagen, Mitch Hewer, Rana Roy, Matthew James Thomas and Marcquelle Ward, as well as Adam Garcia as the dance mentor, Lorraine Pilkington as the music mentor and Mark Benton as the school principal and acting mentor. ITV Network
ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Daniel Gabriel Alessandro Saucedo Grzechowski (born 25 February 1986), known professionally as Danny Saucedo or simply Danny, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as one of the finalists in ''Idol 2006'', the Swedish version of ''Idol'', where he reached the top six. Saucedo has released five studio albums and more than fifteen singles as a solo artist. His debut album '' Heart Beats'' and its three singles "Tokyo", " Play It for the Girls" and "Radio" topped the Swedish charts. ''DanceX'' is a reality television show produced in the UK for BBC One in 2007. It is a live show, in which two teams of male and female dancers compete to form a new dance group. Team Bruno won the show on 25 August. Presenter and team leaders The show was hosted by GMTV and former ''The X Factor (UK), Xtra Factor'' presenter Ben Shephard. The two teams were led by Hot Gossip founder Arlene Phillips and fellow ''Strictly Come Dancing'' judge and choreographer Bruno Tonioli.
