Flea
Flea, the common name for the order Siphonaptera, includes 2,500 species of small flightless insects that live as external parasites of mammals and birds. Fleas live by ingesting the blood of their hosts. Adult fleas grow to about long, are usually brown, and have bodies that are "flattened" sideways or narrow, enabling them to move through their hosts' fur or feathers. Enrique González "La Pulga"
Enrique González Castillo (1890 – January 1, 1957), nicknamed La Pulga (The Flea), was a Cuban singer-songwriter from Santiago de Cuba. His two most famous works are the boleros "Injusta duda" and "Lupina", which have been recorded by artists such as Arsenio Rodríguez and Compay Segundo, respectively. The latter was written for danzonete singer Pablo Quevedo in 1934. His repertoire included boleros, canciones, guarachas and guajiras written by himself. The height of his career took place in the 1930s and '40s in Havana, where he was the guitarist for Benny Moré before he joined Conjunto Matamoros to tour Mexico. In addition, he was part of several other vocal groups, collaborating with famous ''guarachero'' Ñico Saquito. Ivo Pulga (born 20 June 1964) is an Italian association football coach and former player, who played as a midfielder. He currently works as a scout with Brescia in the Serie B. Career Playing career A physical centre midfielder, Pulga started his career at Serie D amateurs Carpi; after a rather unsuccessful loan at Bologna (no first team appearances), he moved back into professionalism in 1984 by joining Serie C1 club Modena. In 1985, he joined Cagliari, then in Serie C1 as well; from 1989 to 1991 he was one of the protagonists, as team captain and established fan favourite player, of the club's two consecutive promotions to Serie A under the tenure of Claudio Ranieri. He then joined high-flyers Parma in 1991, winning a Coppa Italia and a UEFA Cup Winners Cup while at the club but playing far less than before. Pulga is an unincorporated community in Butte County, California. It is located along the west slope of the Feather River canyon. A variant name for the community is Big Bar. History The land was once occupied by Konkow Maidu tribes. In 1885, the town of Pulga was founded by William King, a sawmill owner and railroad geologist. A post office was opened in 1906. The area had attracted gold miners and miners of vesuvianite, also known as "Pulga Jade". The town was always small, and peaked in size in the 1930s and 1940s with a few hundred people. The Pulga Bridges are two nearby bridges for highway and railroad crossings of the North Fork Feather River. The steel arch highway bridge, carrying State Route 70, crosses over the railroad bridge. The railroad Pulga Bridge, a three-span through-truss bridge, is on the Union Pacific Railroad's (originally Western Pacific Railroad's) Feather River Route through the Sierra Nevada in northeastern California, connecting the Sacramento Valley to Salt Lake City via the Feather River valley. ''Bugaboo (The Flea)'', later published in Spain as ''La Pulga'', is a computer game created in 1983 in video gaming, 1983 by the Spanish team of programmers ''Paco & Paco'' for the ZX Spectrum. Later versions for the Commodore 64, Amstrad and MSX were produced. Bugaboo, besides being the first video game made in Spain, is one of the first computer games to include cut scenes. Its publication marked the official beginning of the Golden Era of Spanish Software. It was ported to the Amstrad CPC under the name ''Roland in the Caves'', to exploit the CPC's recurring Roland (game character), Roland character.
