Pui Fan Lee
Pui Fan Lee (born ) is a British-born Chinese actress and presenter. Along with Sue Monroe, Chris Jarvis, and Sidney Sloane she was one of the first presenters on CBeebies, the BBC television channel for younger children. She is known for portraying Po in the original 1997–2001 run of the children's television series Teletubbies, and for presenting the CBeebies preschool education series ''Show Me Show Me''. Lee's family came from Hong Kong. She was born in Birmingham, and grew up in Nottingham. She moved to London to study drama. She took on the role of Po shortly after leaving Drama school. She was the first presenter, alongside Chris Jarvis to introduce programming on the BBC digital channel CBeebies. Lee lives in North London. In 2004, Lee had a minor role as a Thai jail girl in the 2004 film '' Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason''. In 2006 Lee presented The BBC programme Fun with Phonics. Sue Monroe
Sue Monroe is a British television presenter, actress, and author best known for hosting CBeebies, and playing Poppy in ''Playdays''. Career Monroe presented, voiced and puppeteered Poppy the Cat in Playdays from 1990 to 1997. In February 2002, she became one of the first presenters on CBeebies, with Chris Jarvis, Sidney Sloane, and Pui Fan Lee. She voiced Tigs the Tiger in the CBeebies show The Shiny Show ''The Shiny Show'' is a British educational children's quiz show, broadcast in the United Kingdom by CBeebies, BBC One and BBC Two, that was produced by Open Mind Productions. Words And Pictures (TV Programme)
Words and Pictures is a British children's literacy television programme which aired as part of BBC Schools, starting in 1970. 1970s The series began in March 1970 as a spin-off from the BBC schools programme, Look and Read, which was already providing the same type of practice and encouragement for older children. The first series was presented by Gabriel Woolf and set in an attic full of toys, who have adventures related to phonics. Two episodes aired each week, one ("Programme A") at the start and the other ("Programme B") at the end. This was meant to cater for younger children and allowed teachers to do some follow-up work in the classroom in between. A total of 16 episodes aired. The second series started airing weekly in 1972, for 20 episodes. The format and presenter changed, the second series being about a young man called Sam Samson (played by Tony Robinson) who daydreams about an island inhabited by "Boffs".
