Puerto Rico Highway 19
Puerto Rico Highway 19 (PR-19) is a short highway in Guaynabo. It is the main avenue in San Patricio, Guaynabo. It begins at PR-20 and PR-21 in San Juan and ends an interchange with PR-2 and PR-20 in Guaynabo. Route description PR-19 starts at its southern end at an interchange with PR-20 in San Juan. From this terminus, the highway runs through the interchange with PR-20 before intersecting PR-21 and turning northward parallel to the PR-20 freeway on its eastern side. After a short distance, the highway crosses the freeway on Avenida Luis Vigoreaux and then runs northwesterly to cross into Guaynabo. Running due north in Guaynabo, PR-19 passes through two roundabouts and ends at the interchange where PR-20 ends at PR-2. Gobernador Piñero is one of the 18 barrios of the municipality of San Juan, Puerto Rico. With a population of 44,006 (2010) living in a land area of , it is San Juan’s second most populated barrio after Santurce, and the fourth largest in land area. This district is named after Jesús T. Pueblo Viejo is a Barrios of Puerto Rico, barrio in the municipality of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 23,816. History In 1508, Juan Ponce de León founded the original Spanish settlement in Puerto Rico at Caparra (named after the province of Cáceres (province), Cáceres, Spain, the birthplace of then-governor of Spain's Caribbean territories Nicolás de Ovando), which today is known as Pueblo Viejo barrio. Puerto Rico Highway 2
Puerto Rico Highway 2 (PR-2) is a road in Puerto Rico that connects the cities of San Juan and Ponce. At 156 miles (230 km) long, it is Puerto Rico's longest singled-signed highway. The road runs counter-clockwise from San Juan to Ponce. PR-2 runs parallel to the northern coast of Puerto Rico (west of San Juan), then parallel to the west coast from near Aguadilla running south through Mayagüez. Shortly after Mayagüez, the road runs somewhat inland (through Hormigueros, San Germán and Sabana Grande) until it reaches the southern coast of Puerto Rico at Yauco, and continues to run parallel the southern shore as it approaches Ponce from the west. In addition to Arecibo, Aguadilla, and Mayagüez, the road runs through various other cities including Guaynabo, Bayamón, San Germán and Yauco. Luis Vigoreaux
Luis Vigoreaux Rivera (April 12, 1928 – January 17, 1983) was a Puerto Rican radio and television show host, announcer, comedian and producer. Vigoreaux was considered a pioneer in the television business in Puerto Rico, and enjoyed success with several radio and television shows throughout his career. Vigoreaux was brutally murdered on January 17, 1983. His wife, Lydia Echevarría, was convicted in 1986 of planning the murder, along with hitmen Papo Newman and David López-Watts. Early years Vigoreaux was born on April 12, 1928 in the Chupacallos ward of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. He was one of the eight children of Eulalia and Enrique Vigoreaux, a sugarcane worker at Fajardo Sugar Company. His father died when he was young, forcing Eulalia to take charge of the family. When Vigoreaux was 14 years old, they moved to San Juan, specifically Río Piedras. Vigoreaux studied at the Vila Mayo High School.
