Nicholas Ihua-Maduenyi (Born October 28, 1998) widely known as PsychoYP, is a Nigerian alternative hip hop rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is a member of the music collective Apex Village. He came into the music scene with a critically acclaimed mixtape ''YPSZN'', which earned him a nomination at the SAMAs, and Headies for his second mixtape studio album ''YPSZN2''. Dubbed the "The Fresh Prince of Nigerian Rap", he is regarded as one of Nigeria's rap music pioneers in the Alté music scene. Early life Ihua-Maduenyi was born on 28 October 1998 in Abuja, and comes from Rivers State. While in secondary school in 2013, he met with Kuddi Is Dead, a member of Apex Village. Daniel Tarlumun Ayu, better known as Ayüü, is a Nigerian recording artiste and songwriter with sounds from R&B, Pop, Funk, Hip-Hop, and Afrobeats. Early life Ayüü was born in Jos, Nigeria but moved around a lot as a child with his mother. He spent his secondary school years in Abuja and Osun before moving to England where he studied Business Administration at the University of Kent. Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, is a Nigerian rapper signed to Chocolate City. Blaqbonez is popularly known for his distinct rap style as well as his creative ingenuity. 26th South African Music Awards
The 26th Annual South African Music Awards were held on 3–7 August 2020. Unlike previous years shows, the ceremony was broadcast as a five-night event, with the first four episodes being 30 minutes long, while the fifth one was a 45-minute grand finale. It was held virtually due to the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns, and for the first time, the award show was to be broadcast live on Multichoice's Mzansi Magic Channel (the award show was originally broadcast on SABC 1, but due to the channel's financial problems it was cancelled, then it was picked up by Multichoice). This was the first year the show was broadcast live via My Muze by Vodacom. The award show was originally scheduled to take place on 2 June, in Sun City Arena, North West and was to air live. The Headies 2020
The Headies 2020 was the 14th edition of The Headies, a Nigerian music awards show held to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The ceremony took place on February 21, 2021 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic instead of December 2020, the usual month for the awards. It was held at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki The organizers of the event announced TV personality and actress Nancy Isime and comedian Bovi as hosts, this made it the fourth time Bovi will host the event, while Nancy became the first female to host the event for the second time. The nominees were announced on 4 December 2020 with Fireboy DML leading with nine nominations.
