Provence Football Team
The Provence national football team is the football team for the French territory of Provence. The team does not have affiliation with UEFA or FIFA, but are an affiliate member of the NF-Board since December 2008. In 2008 and for the first time since 1921, the Provence team played matches, competing in the 2008 VIVA World Cup where they finished in the last place after losing all of their four games. After a losing streak of six games, the team finally claimed a first win in the end of last year, when they beat Monaco 3–2 in a friendly. Provence put in an improved performance at the 2009 VIVA World Cup when they topped Group B before finishing 4th. NF-Board
The N.F.-Board (french: Nouvelle Fédération-Board) was a federation of football associations established on 12 December 2003. It was made up of teams that represent nations, dependencies, unrecognized states, minorities, stateless peoples, regions and micronations not affiliated to FIFA. One of the founders was Luc Misson, a lawyer who represented Belgian footballer Jean-Marc Bosman in a case that led to the Bosman ruling. VIVA World Cup N.F.-Board organized five VIVA World Cups, including the inaugural games in November 2006. Gozo
Gozo (, ), Maltese: ''Għawdex'' () and in antiquity known as Gaulos ( xpu, 𐤂𐤅𐤋, ; grc, Γαῦλος, Gaúlos), is an island in the Maltese archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. Northern Cyprus National Football Team
The Northern Cyprus national football team ( tr, Kuzey Kıbrıs Millî Futbol Takımı) represents Northern Cyprus, a de facto country, in association football. They were a member of the New Federations Board for non-FIFA-affiliated nations, until its dissolution in 2013. Northern Cyprus' home stadium is Nicosia Atatürk Stadium in North Nicosia and their head coach is Fırat Canova. 2009 VIVA World Cup
The 2009 VIVA World Cup was the third VIVA World Cup, an international tournament for football open to non-FIFA-affiliated teams, played in Padania. Three venues were bidding to host the tournament in 2010 : * Padania ( Italy) * Iraqi Kurdistan ( Iraq) * Gozo ( Malta) At the NF-Board general meeting in Milan (Italy), on 13 December 2008, it was decided to hold the Viva World Cup annually. The 2010 edition will be played in Gozo and priority was given to Iraqi Kurdistan to host the 2011 tournament. Occitania originally finished 5th, but having made one more substitution than allowed, the result was overturned, leaving Gozo as the winners of the 5th place playoff.
