Propane Bomb
A propane bomb is a type of Improvised Explosive Device, improvised explosive device which uses commercially available bottled gas cylinders, a kind of Boiling liquid expanding vapor explosion, BLEVE. The devices have been used in terror attacks and school bombing plots. The Ghriba synagogue bombing was carried out by Niser bin Muhammad Nasr Nawar on the El Ghriba synagogue in Tunisia in 2002. 2010 Times Square Car Bombing Attempt
On May 1, 2010, a terrorist attack was attempted in Times Square in Manhattan, New York. Two street vendors alerted NYPD after they spotted smoke coming from a vehicle, and a car bomb was discovered. The bomb had been ignited, but failed to explode, and was disarmed before it caused any casualties. 2007 Glasgow International Airport Attack
The Glasgow Airport attack was a terrorist ramming attack which occurred on 30 June 2007, at 15:11 BST, when a dark green Jeep Cherokee loaded with propane canisters was driven at the glass doors of the Glasgow Airport terminal and set ablaze. The car's driver was severely burnt in the ensuing fire, and five members of the public were injured, none seriously.
