''Project I.G.I.'' (released in North America as ''Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In'') is a Tactical shooter, tactical first-person shooter video game. It was developed by Innerloop Studios and released in December 2000 by Square Enix Europe, Eidos Interactive. The game received mixed reviews due to shortcomings including a poorly programmed Artificial intelligence, A.I., lack of a mid-game Saved game, save option, and the lack of Multiplayer video game, multiplayer features. However it was praised for its sound design and Computer graphics, graphics, thanks in part to its use of a proprietary game engine that was previously used in Innerloop's ''Joint Strike Fighter (game), Joint Strike Fighter''. It was followed up in 2003 by ''I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike''. A prequel titled ''I.G.I. Innerloop Studios
Innerloop Studios (commonly just Innerloop) was a Norway, Norwegian video game developer operating from 1996 to 2003. The company was founded as Innerloop Technologies in May 1996 by a group of ex-employees of the Oslo-based video game company Funcom. After entering into a partnership with the video game developer and publisher Eidos Interactive, Innerloop merged with DiMaga Studios in 1997 and changed its name to Innerloop Studios to reflect the merger. In the fall of 2000, Swedish electronic entertainment company Vision Park acquired the studio. In 2002, Innerloop once again became an independent company before shutting its doors in June 2003.
