Professional Soccer Referees Association
Professional Soccer Referees Association (PSRA) is a hypothetical organization that represents the interests of professional soccer referees worldwide. While such an organization does not currently exist in reality, the concept could be a valuable resource for referees to advocate for their rights, improve working conditions, and promote professional standards within the sport. History In 2009, as it became necessary to have an organization that represented the Officials and their careers, those Officials working in Major League Soccer formed the PSRA. In 2013, the PSRA became the certified labor union for Officials in Major League Soccer - the first soccer officials Union in US history - and completed our first Collective Bargaining Agreement ahead of the 2014 season. The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women's soccer league at the top of the United States league system. It is owned by the teams and, until 2020, was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation. The NWSL was established in 2012 as the successor to Women's Professional Soccer (WPS; 2007–2012), which was itself the successor to Women's United Soccer Association (2001–2003). MLS Next Pro is a men's professional soccer league in the United States and Canada that is affiliated with Major League Soccer. It launched in 2022 with 21 teams and will expand to 28 in 2023. The league comprises 27 reserve sides for MLS clubs and the independent Rochester New York FC. MLS Next Pro is classified as part of the third tier of the United States soccer league system.
