Prodoxus Coloradensis
''Prodoxus coloradensis'' is a moth of the family Prodoxidae. In North America it is found from the Colorado Plateau in the north to northern Sonora in the south, east to the Big Bend region of Texas and west to the coastal range of southern California. The wingspan is 8.9–12 mm for males and 9.2–13 mm for females. The forewings are mostly dark brown with white bands and patches. The hindwings range from light to medium gray. The Prodoxidae are a family of moths, generally small in size and nondescript in appearance. They include species of moderate pest status, such as the Lampronia capitella, currant shoot borer, and others of considerable ecological and evolutionary interest, such as various species of "yucca moths".
