Pro Duta F.C.
Pro Duta Football Club is an Indonesian professional football club based in Medan, North Sumatra. Recently, it won the Indonesian Premier League (IPL) Play-off 2013 and had several friendly matches in Europe and Thailand during the Dare to Dream Tour 2013. The club is focused on youth development program. Their junior team (Pro Duta FC U-19) participated in the Trofeo Karol Wojtyla in Rome, Italy, December 2013. History The origin of Pro Duta FC (PDFC) in its development to become one of Indonesia's football clubs, can be traced back to one of several Persib Bandung internal amateur football clubs under the management of Maung Bandung. At the time, Pro Duta was still called "Bandung Putra". As part of the 1986 management improvement efforts, "Bandung Putra" was renamed as "Pro". Sihar Pangihutan Hamonangan Sitorus Pane (born 12 July 1968) is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is a member of the People's Representative Council. He took part in the 2018 North Sumatra gubernatorial election as a vice-governor candidate to Djarot Saiful Hidayat. Biography Sitorus was born in Jakarta on 12 July 1968, and studied there until he graduated from high school in 1987. Afterwards, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arizona in 1991, then a MBA from Creighton University in 1993. After his studies, he began to work at Freeport Indonesia as an accountant until 1995, then for a time at the Indonesian Stock Exchange. His later business includes an oil palm plantation in Maluku. Rudi, born Albert Rudolph (January 24, 1928 – February 21, 1973), also known as Swami Rudrananda, was born in Brooklyn, New York. Liga 3 (English: ''League Three'') is the lowest tier in Indonesian football league system. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consists of 2 rounds: ''provincial qualification''—held in every provinces in Indonesia, and ''national round'', competed by provincial qualifiers (number varies between provinces). The 2017 Liga 2 was the inaugural season of the Liga 2 under its current name, and the eighth season under its current league structure. Persebaya won the title after a 3–2 win over PSMS in the final at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung on 28 November 2017. Overview Player regulations Starting this season Liga 2 was an under-25 tournament (born on or after 1 January 1992), with a maximum of five overage players allowed. Teams are no longer allowed to use foreign players and were allowed to have a maximum of 30 players. Format The league was divided into eight groups containing 7–8 teams each.
