Prinzregentenstraße (Munich)
Prinzregentenstraße The Prinzregentenstraße (, ''Prince-Regent Street'') in Munich is one of four royal avenues and runs parallel to Maximilianstraße and begins at '' Prinz-Carl-Palais'', in the northeastern part of the Old Town. The avenue was constructed from 1891 onwards as a prime address for the middle-class during the reign of Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria and is named in his honour. The square in the eastern part of the street is named ''Prinzregentenplatz''. Bogenhausen (Central Bavarian: ''Bognhausn'') is the 13th borough of Munich, Germany. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks.
