Prince Emanuel Of Liechtenstein (1908–1987)
Karl ''Emanuel'' Johannes Gabriel Maria Josef, Prinz von und zu Liechtenstein (22 October 1908 in Betliar/Betlér – 18 October 1987 in Grabs) was a member of the sovereign family of Liechtenstein. He was a child of Prince Johannes of Liechtenstein (1873–1959) and Countess Marie Gabrielle Andrássy von Csik-Szent-Király und Kraszna-Horka (1886–1961). His paternal grandparents were Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein (1842–1907) and Princess Henriette of Liechtenstein (1843–1931), and his maternal grandparents were Count Géza Andrássy von Csik-Szent-Király und Kraszna-Horka (1856–1938) and Countess Eleonore von Kaunitz (1862–1936). He was general manager and president of administrative board of Loma Joint stock company. He died unmarried and without issue. Scouting Prince Emanuel joined the Scout Movement in 1933. Gamprin
Gamprin is a municipality of Liechtenstein, on the Rhine on the border with the municipality of Sennwald, in Switzerland. It had 1,690 inhabitants in 2019. The municipality contains the village of Bendern and scattered hamlets and the Liechtenstein Institute and LGT Group. History Evidence of human settlement from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages have been found in Gamprin. Within the territory of the parish there is the archaeological site of Lutzengüetle. The name is derived from the Old Romansh camp Rin (field on the Rhine). It was first mentioned in about 1150 as Camporin, and in 1253 it was mentioned as Gamperin. The church, dedicated to Mother Mary, was built in 1481, but has antecedents dating back to 1045. In 1499, the village was pillaged by the Swiss Confederates. Triesen
Triesen () is the third largest of Liechtenstein's municipalities. It contains several historic churches dating from the fifteenth century. It also has a weaving mill from 1863 that is considered a historical monument. The population is around 5,275. Geography The municipality includes the highest point of Liechtenstein, the Grauspitz, at above sea level. It is located between Vaduz, Triesenberg and Balzers. History The settlements of Triesen, as the state archaeologists have found during excavations, were destroyed in natural disasters. Balzers is a village located in southern Liechtenstein. As of 2019, the village had a total population of 4,642. The main part of the village is situated along the east bank of the Rhine. History and culture Historically, the present-day form of the village consists of two different villages, the actual Balzers in the east and Mäls in the west. Not visible to the unaware, the division still persists in the local village culture, where it manifests in half-serious local competition. Some customs, such as the "Funken", a springtime ritual with pre-Christian origins involving a huge bonfire, are still being practised by each separately.
