Primer Impacto
''Primer Impacto'' (''First Impact'') is a Spanish-language television news program broadcast by Univision weekdays at 5pm ET//4pm CT. A later program at 11pm ET/PT (''Primer Impacto Extra'') airs on Univision affiliates without a local news department (and the national cable feed), leading into the network's 11:30pm newscast, Noticiero Univision Edicion Nocturna. The show's main anchors are Michelle Galván and Pamela Silva Conde. Verónica Del Castillo is the show's main Mexico City-based anchor, contributing to reports on Mexican-centered stories, and occasionally filling in. Jackie Guerrido is the show's main weather forecaster on weekdays, and also acts as the main fill-in presenter. Univision meteorologist Paola Elorza does the weather on weekends. Edna Schmidt
Edna Schmidt (August 8, 1969June 24, 2021) was a journalist who was a news anchor for ''Noticiero Univision'' Edición Nocturna. The journalist, who was of Puerto Rican descent, covered the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attacks, the panic caused by the anthrax threat and the execution of the Oklahoma bomber Timothy McVeigh. On June 24, 2021, it was reported that she had died. Early years Schmidt's parents moved from Puerto Rico to the United States and settled in Manhattan, New York City, where she was born. After receiving her primary and secondary education, Schmidt enrolled in college where she majored in journalism. Walter Mercado Salinas (9 March 1932 – 2 November 2019), also known by his stage name Shanti Ananda, was a Puerto Rican astrologer, actor, dancer, and writer, best known as a television personality for his shows as an astrologer. His astrological prediction shows aired for decades in Puerto Rico, Latin America and the United States, and he became a cultural phenomenon in the Hispanic community. Satcha Pretto (born April 5, 1980) is a Honduran journalist and news co-anchor of the Univision Network's popular morning show ''Despierta America''. Early life Pretto was born in La Paz, Honduras, the daughter of Honduran Liz Padilla and Panamanian Rolando Pretto. She lived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from the age of three until she was 18 years old. Her father died from a heart attack in 1996.
