Prime News Tonight
''Prime News'' is an American television news program that aired on CNN Headline News, HLN from February 2005 to June 2012. The program featured "controversy, opinion, your point of view" (as announced at the beginning of the show), and aired Monday through Friday nights from 6PM to 7PM eastern, with a weekend highlight edition in which stories from the past week were recapped. Format Previously known as ''Prime News Tonight'' and ''Prime News with Erica Hill'', the program recaps the news of the day, covering any number of subjects at a slower pace than programming on other networks, an example being ''Fox Report, The Fox Report'' on Fox News Channel. Erica Hill and Mike Galanos used to co-anchor the show. Minute
The minute is a unit of time usually equal to (the first sexagesimal fraction) of an hour, or 60 seconds. Erica Ruth Hill-Yount is an American journalist who works for CNN. She serves as a primary substitute anchor and a correspondent. She co-anchored ''Weekend Today'' from 2012 to 2016, following work at CBS since 2008. Personal life Hill was born on July 20, 1976 in Clinton, Connecticut the daughter of Cheryl and Steven Holmes Hill. She graduated with a BA in Journalism from Boston University in 1998. Richelle Carey
Richelle Carey (born October 13, 1976) is an American broadcast journalist. She is currently an anchor on Al Jazeera English and was previously an anchor for Al Jazeera America. Mike Galanos
Mike Galanos (born November 7, 1964) is an former American news anchor for HLN (TV channel), HLN, currently appearing as part of the team on ''Morning Express with Robin Meade''. Based in CNN's world headquarters in Atlanta, Galanos joined the network in May 2002. He graduated ''summa cum laude'' from San Francisco State University. Galanos was the local sports anchor on KTVN-TV in Reno, Nevada from 1991 to 1994 with Ric Renner as the weekend anchor, and was well known for his excellent knowledge of sports in northern Nevada.
