''Prime7 News'' was a local television news service in parts of regional Australia, produced by Prime7. A statewide national bulletin, 5 full local news bulletins, and news update services was presented from Prime Media's National Headquarters in Canberra to viewers in Regional NSW, ACT, Regional VIC and Gold Coast QLD. Prime7 News 2017
Prime7, formerly Prime Television and other names, was an Australian television network. Prime Television launched on 17 March 1962 as '' CBN-8'' in Orange, and later expanded to cover regional New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory. It was initially an independent affiliate owned by Prime Media Group before the network, and its sister GWN7, were acquired by Seven West Media on 31 December 2021. Prime7 along with GWN7 national broadcast facilities were based in Canberra, with playout facilities (since 2021) shared with hybrid-funded broadcaster SBS Television at a facility operated by Australian telecommunications provider Telstra. Daniel Gibson (presenter)
Daniel Gibson (born in Victoria) is an Australian television presenter and is seen weeknightly across Seven as newsreader and weatherman in the role of network presenter. Gibson started his career in radio in the early 1990s at 2PK in Parkes NSW, before moving on to radio stations in Victoria including 3WM Horsham and ending up in the nation's capital, Canberra doing talkback on 2CC and then hosted the breakfast show on 2CA. Gibson has been part of Seven since May 2000. In 2007, Gibson joined the V8 Supercar telecast as pit lane reporter for the Seven Network. He is teamed up with Matthew White, Neil Crompton as well as Mark Beretta and Grant Denyer. Gibson was also part of MMM's broadcast of the Melbourne Formula 1 GP. The Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) was an Australian government agency whose main roles were to regulate broadcasting, radiocommunications and telecommunications. The Authority took over the functions of the Australian Broadcasting Tribunal on 5 October 1992 as stipulated in the Broadcasting Services Act 1992. The Australian Broadcasting Tribunal took over the functions of the Australian Broadcasting Control Board in the 1970s.
