Prima Veroli
Veroli Basket was an Italian professional basketball team based in Veroli, Lazio. It ceased operations in February 2015 after financial problems. History After taking part in Centro Sportivo Italiano (a Christian sports association) competitions, the club was officially created as società Basket Veroli in 1968. The club was promoted to the national Serie C in 1974-75. In 2002-03 it moved up to the Serie B1, the third division, at the end of the 2006-07 season the side was promoted to the LegaDue. The club would win the 2009 LegaDue Cup, and the next two editions as well. After suffering from financial problems and being unable to pay its players, Veroli withdrew from the Serie A2 Gold (the renamed second division) in February 2015, later ceasing activities. Veroli ( la, Verulae) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, central Italy, in the Latin Valley. History Veroli (''Verulae'') became a Roman municipium in 90 BC. It became the seat of a bishopric in 743 AD, and was occupied by Spanish soldiers, allied to the Colonna family, in the 16th century. Main sights Veroli retains elements of its ancient polygonal nucleus, especially near the summit of the hill, later occupied by a medieval castle. The Cathedral's treasury contains the breviary of St. Louis of Toulouse, and some interesting reliquaries, one in ivory with bas-reliefs, and two in the Gothic style, of silver gilt. Kyle Hines
Kyle Terrel Hines (born September 2, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague. He plays at the power forward and center positions. Hines played college basketball with the UNC Greensboro Spartans of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. With Olympiacos Piraeus, he won two EuroLeague championships (2012 and 2013), before winning another two with CSKA Moscow (2016 and 2019). Hines also won the EuroLeague Best Defender award twice, in 2016 and 2018. In addition, he was named to the EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team. Ferdinando Gentile, commonly known as Nando Gentile (born 1 January 1967), is an Italian former professional basketball player and coach. Playing as a point guard, Gentile had a successful pro club playing career, amassing a slew of team trophies won in Italy and Greece, including the EuroLeague title. He also played with the senior Italian national team, with whom he won a silver medal at the EuroBasket 1991. Andrea Trinchieri (born August 6, 1968) is an Italian professional basketball coach. He is the current head coach for FC Bayern Munich (basketball), Bayern Munich of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).
