Andrea Trinchieri
Andrea Trinchieri (born August 6, 1968) is an Italian professional basketball coach. He is the current head coach for FC Bayern Munich (basketball), Bayern Munich of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Coaching career Clubs Trinchieri was the Coach (basketball), assistant head coach with the Lega Basket Serie A, Italian League club Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano, Olimpia Milano from 1998 to 2004. He then became the head coach of the Italian club Vanoli Basket from 2004 to 2007. He helped Vanoli get promotion and relegation, promoted from the Serie B Basket, Italian 3rd Division to the Serie A2 Basket, Italian Second Division. After that, he was the head coach of the Italian club Juvecaserta Basket, which was also in the Italian Second Division at that time. His next head coaching job was also in the Italian Second Division, with Veroli Basket, during the 2008–09 season. Lega Basket Serie A
The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The LBA plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 16 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the Serie A2 and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. Names History The league was created in May 1974, by the Lega Basket, the organisation in charge of running the LBA (to this day), that decided to create a new second division with 10 clubs. BBL Champions Cup
The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) Champions Cup is an inactive men's professional basketball game in Germany, which is comparable to other super cup games. The Basketball Bundesliga champion plays the game against the BBL-Pokal winner. Usually, the game is played in the arena of the German League champion, but there are no fixed rules. Basketball Bundesliga-Pokal, commonly known as the BBL-Pokal, is the annual national basketball cup competition in Germany. Since 2009, the title has been awarded to the winner of a tournament competition between top clubs of each Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) season. History and format The competition was founded in 1966, by the German Basketball Federation. The first final of the German Basketball Cup took place on 11 June 1967, in Oberhausen.
