Güstrow
Güstrow (; la, Gustrovium) is a town in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is capital of the Rostock district; Rostock itself is a district-free city and regiopolis. It has a population of 28,999 (2020) and is the seventh largest town in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since 2006 Güstrow has had the official suffix ''Barlachstadt''. The town is known for its renaissance Güstrow Palace, the old town and its brick gothic cathedral with Barlach's ''Floating Angel'' sculpture. Bützow–Szczecin Railway
The Bützow–Szczecin railway is a nearly 200 km-long, mostly non-electrified, single-track main line railway running mostly in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The first section of the line between Bützow and Güstrow was opened in 1850 by the Mecklenburg Railway Company (german: Mecklenburgische Eisenbahngesellschaft) and is one of the oldest railways in Germany and is part of the Leipzig–Magdeburg–Schwerin–Rostock main line. Priemerburg–Plaaz Railway
The Priemerburg-Plaaz railway is a single-track, electrified branch line in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Route Like the Güstrow–Meyenburg railway, the line to Plaaz separates from the line to Neubrandenburg not in Güstrow, but three kilometres to its east in the settlement of Priemerburg. It runs to the south from the junction and then crosses the other tracks on a bridge. To the right is the route of the former connecting curve to Priemerwald Süd. After running through a wooded area, it passes through Glasewitz station, which closed in 1993 and has left few traces. The following section runs through open, rolling countryside.
