Anne Grete Preus
Anne Grete Preus (22 May 1957 – 25 August 2019) was a Norwegian rock singer in Norway in the 1980s and 1990s, first as member of the bands Veslefrikk and Can Can and later as a solo act. She released nine solo albums and won the Spellemannprisen multiple times. In 2008 she appeared as a narrator in an Arts Alliance production, id - Identity of the Soul. She contracted liver cancer in 2007. In early 2019 she had to cancel the planned concerts for the summer due to illness. Margi Preus is an American children's writer. She is a 2011 Newbery Honor winner and won the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature for ''Heart of a Samurai''. Horten
is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway—located along the Oslofjord. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Horten. The municipality also includes the town of Åsgårdstrand and the villages of Borre, Skoppum, and Nykirke. Preus Museum is the national museum for photography located in Horten, Norway. Preus Museum was founded in 1976 by Leif Preus and the members of the Preus family as a private museum. The collection was acquired by the Norwegian government in 1995. The museum's collection consists of photos and various other forms of images, together with cameras and related equipment which illustrate the history of photography. Leif Preus (18 February 1928 – 5 May 2013) was a Norwegian photographer and museum founder. He was born in Horten as a son of Sverre Preus (1897–1988) and Marian Christoffersen (1901–1972). Christian Keyser Preus (October 13, 1852 – May 28, 1921) was an American Lutheran minister who served as the second president of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Career Preus was born in the Spring Prairie, Wisconsin, parsonage to Norwegian immigrants Herman Amberg Preus and Caroline (Linka) Keyser Preus.''Preus, Christian Keyser'' (Christian Cyclopedia.
