Preston Nash
Preston Nash is an American musician, drummer, music educator, composer/songwriter, music producer, and former radio personality and producer. Prior to working with established artists, Nash gigged heavily, including shows at CBGB and throughout Canada and Europe. He is best known as the drummer for Dope, Primer 55, Society 1, Voodoo Rockfish, and The Color Red. He is also known as the former producer for ''The Ralph Bailey Show'' on 1560 KNZR out of Bakersfield, California. As a songwriter and composer, he's written music used in independent films, jingles heard on radio stations around the United States, and has collaborated and recorded with artists including Virus, Billie Stevens, and cellist Tina Guo. Nash is a music educator and drum instructor for over 20 years, and holds 3 degrees in music, including a Master's Degree in Music Theory/Composition. Promark is a Houston, Texas-based American drum stick company. Since 2011, it is part of strings company D'Addario. Promark is a widely known stick company generally played in drum set, drum and bugle corps and concert bands. History Promark was founded in 1957 by percussion instructor and shop owner Herb Brochstein in Houston, Texas. It was the first company to introduce Japanese Shira-Kashi white oak into the American market, and the only company to successfully market oak sticks in the United States. The wood provided for Promark is supplied by Japanese trader Tatsuo Kosaka. In recent years, Promark has moved to use of non-endangered wood and a "green" finishing process to make their sticks and manufacturing processes safer to the player and the environment. ''Felons and Revolutionaries'' is the debut studio album by the American nu metal band Dope. The album was released in 1999 on Epic Records and has sold over 236,000 copies in the United States, making it their best-selling album to date. It was re-released on June 17, 2000, with the single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" ( Dead or Alive cover) as a bonus track. "Pig Society", "Everything Sucks", "Sick", and "Debonaire" were also released as singles, but did not chart. Track listing The track listing on the back cover of some pressings does not list the song "Fuck tha Police" as appearing on the record. This is most likely due to a typographical error, censorship, or the producers using too much of the space on the back of the album for the artwork. The original pressing for the album's Canadian release does list the song on the back cover. There are also reports that some versions of the album actually did not contain this song. CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in Manhattan's East Village. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar.
