Preston Lions Football Club (formerly Preston Makedonia Soccer Club) is a soccer club from Preston, a northern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The club was established in 1947 to play non-professional soccer matches against other teams in the local community until 1959, and 12 years later, they joined the Victorian Soccer Federation (now Football Victoria), the club's first season in an officially sanctioned competition. The Lions currently compete in the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 competition after being promoted in 2022, which is the third tier in the Australian soccer league system. Robert Alexander P Stambolziev (born 26 October 1990) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 club Preston Lions. A product of Bristol City's Youth Academy to make over 100 appearances in his football career, Stambolziev left Australia at a young age to join the club in the EFL League One, where he played in the Premier Academy League and FA Youth Cup.
