St. Ann's Presentation Convent High School, Rawalpindi, is a private Catholic missionary school located in Lalkurti area of Rawalpindi Cantonment, Pakistan. In spite of its name, the school caters for students seeking an elementary and high school education. History In 1895 Presentation Sisters' Mother Ignatius McDermott, Sr. Xavier Lonergan, and Sr. Evangelist Coatsworth arrived in Rawalpindi from Madras. The first Mass was celebrated on 8 September 1895 and the school was opened on 1 October, with ‘three sisters, three pupils’. Lalkurti (literally ''red shirt''; referring to British Infantry " Red coats" from colonial era), is a locality in the heart of Rawalpindi cantonment in Pakistan. Maleeha Lodhi ( ur, ; born 15 November 1952) is a Pakistani diplomat, political scientist, and a former Pakistan's Representative to the United Nations. She was the first woman to hold the position. Lieutenant General Nigar Johar Khan ( ur, ) is a three-star general in the Pakistan Army. Nigar is the first and only woman in the history of Pakistan Army to reach the rank of lieutenant-general, and the third to reach the rank of major-general. Venerable Honora Nagle ( – 26 April 1784), known informally as Nano Nagle, was a pioneer of Roman Catholic education in Ireland despite legal prohibitions.
