Radu Beligan
Radu Beligan (; 14 December 1918 – 20 July 2016) was a Romanian actor, director, and essayist, with an activity of over 70 years in theatre, film, television, and radio. On 15 December 2013, confirmed by Guinness World Records, the actor received the title of "The oldest active theatre actor" on the planet. He was elected honorary member of the Romanian Academy in 2004. One of the disciples of actress Lucia Sturdza-Bulandra and writer Eugène Ionesco, Radu Beligan is generally regarded as one of the major names of the Romanian theatre with a complex repertoire, classic and modern. Toma Caragiu
Toma Caragiu (; (21 August 1925 – 4 March 1977) was a prolific Greek-born Romanian theatre, television and film actor. He was born in an Aromanian family from the village of Chroupista (since 1926 renamed Argos Orestiko) in the region of Macedonia in Greece on 21 August 1925. Toma Caragiu was one of the best Romanian actors, with a rich activity in both film and theatre. He liked to play comic characters, but he excelled also in drama, one of his reference films being " Actorul şi Sǎlbaticii". He played alongside great actors such as Ştefan Bănică, Octavian Cotescu, Anda Călugăreanu etc. Toma Caragiu is most famous for his monologues. Tamara Buciuceanu-Botez (10 August 1929 – 15 October 2019) was a Romanian stage, screen and television actress, as well a known TV personality. She was one of the most successful Romanian actresses of the 1960s–2000s who worked at Odeon Theatre, known for Liceenii (1986), (1992), Silent Wedding (2008) and Everybody in Our Family (2012). Dem Rădulescu
Dem Rădulescu (; 21 September 1931 – 17 September 2000) was a Romanian theatre, film and television actor, and academic. He was also a professor at the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. Personal life Rădulescu was born in Râmnicu Vâlcea in a family of merchants. After graduating from the Nicolae Bălcescu High School (now known as Alexandru Lahovari National College) in Râmnicu Vâlcea, he had to make a choice between a career as a professional sportsman (boxing) and acting. He was even awarded a golden star at an amateur boxing championship. In 1956, he won first prize for interpreting "Steaguri pe turnuri" (he played the bandit Rijikov) at a contest dedicated to young actors. Temistocle Popa
Themistocles Popa (; 27 June 1921 – 26 November 2013) was a Romanian composer, musician, and film actor. Life Temistocle Popa studied flute, harp, and saxophone at the National University of Music Bucharest. He then worked with musicians such as and Ion Dacian, and was close friends with the popular Romanian singer Maria Tănase. Beginning in the early 1960s, he wrote music for many Romanian films. He was married to actress Cornelia Teodosiu, and resided with her in Bucharest. After the Romanian Revolution of 1989 Popa lost almost his entire fortune due to nationalization of assets. In 2004 he received the Romanian National Order Legal Service, attaining the rank of Knight. Popa died in 2013 and was buried at Ghencea Military Cemetery in Bucharest. Aurel Baranga (born Aurel Leibovici; June 20, 1913 – June 10, 1979) was a Romanian playwright and poet. Born into a Jewish family in Bucharest, his parents were company clerk Jean Leibovici and his wife Paulina. He graduated from Matei Basarab High School in 1931 and from the University of Bucharest's medical faculty in 1938. His first published work appeared in 1929 in '' Bilete de Papagal''. Emil Botta (; 15 September 1911, Adjud – 24 July 1977, Bucharest) was a Romanian actor and writer.
