Prem Bhatia (cricketer)
Prem Bhatia (17 January 1940 – 13 March 2018) was an Indian cricketer. He played 55 first-class matches for Delhi between 1958 and 1969, scoring more than 2,500 runs. Bhatia also made 1 first-class appearance for Gujarat against Baroda in the 1973–74 Ranji Trophy, while also making 1 List A appearance for North Zone against South Zone in the 1984–85 Deodhar Trophy. He is perhaps best known by becoming the first twelfth man to bat in a first-class match, when asked to bat in place of former India captain Lala Amarnath in the first Irani Trophy match between the Rest of India and Bombay on 18 March 1960. Bhatia batted in both innings, scoring 22 in the first and 50 in the second, while Amarnath bowled and fielded. Lala Amarnath
Lala Amarnath Bharadwaj (11 September 1911 - 5 August 2000) was an Indian cricketer. He scored a century on test debut and became the first player to score a century for the India national cricket team in Test cricket. He was independent India's first cricket captain and captained India in their first Test series win against Pakistan in 1952. He played only three Test Matches before World War 2 (India played no official Test matches during the war). During this time he amassed around 10,000 runs with 30 hundreds in first class cricket which included teams from Australia and England. After the war he played another 21 Test Matches for India. He later became the chairman of the Senior Selection Committee, BCCI and was also a commentator and expert. His proteges include Chandu Borde, M.L. Jaisimha, and Jasu Patel who played for India. Mumbai Cricket Team
The Mumbai cricket team is a cricket team representing the city of Mumbai in Indian domestic cricket. The team's primary home ground is the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai. Secondary home venues include the MCA ground in Bandra Kurla Complex Ground and Brabourne Stadium. The team comes under the West Zone designation. It was formerly known as the Bombay cricket team, but changed when the city was officially renamed from Bombay to Mumbai. Mumbai is the most successful team in the history of Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic cricket competition, with 41 titles, the most recent being in 2015–16. It also has 14(1 shared) Irani Cup titles to its name, also the most by any team.
