Prasina Poulia
Prassina Poulia Football Athletic Club ( el, Ποδοσφαιρικός Αθλητικός Όμιλος "Πράσινα Πουλιά") is one of the oldest football clubs in Kalamata, Greece, being founded in 1938. Its colors are green and white and its name literally means "green birds". History The team was founded during the interwar period as well as Apollon and had its famous football (soccer) clubs of the city. Prassina Poulia had followed mainly between the support of the Venizelian line up and the support of many refugees. From Prassina Poulis began the career in which afterwards the famous player of AEK and the national team Kleanthis Maropoulos. He played for two years in 1931 and 1933 and settled with the family in Athens. From Prassina Poulia played its Messenian football (soccer) until the 1960s. Kalamata
Kalamáta ( el, Καλαμάτα ) is the second most populous city of the Peloponnese peninsula, after Patras, in southern Greece and the largest city of the homonymous administrative region. Kalamata Football Club ( el, Π.Σ. "Η Καλαμάτα") is a Greek professional football club based in Messenia, Kalamata. They compete in the Super League Greece 2, the second tier of the Greek football league system. The club's home ground is the Kalamata Metropolitan Stadium. Thanasis Bebis
Thanasis Bebis ( el, Θανάσης Μπέμπης; 26 June 1928 – 23 July 2017) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is deeply connected to Olympiacos, where he spent most of his career and won 24 titles. He made 17 appearances for the Greece national team scoring one goal. He was given the nickname "Pinocchio" as he deceived the opposite defences with his dribbling skills and moves with the ball. Club career Bebis was born on 26 June 1928 in Votanikos, and during the German occupation he started playing football in Prasina Poulia of Petralona.
