Prasenjit Chatterjee
Prosenjit Chatterjee (born 30 September 1962) is an Indian actor and producer. He is widely regarded as one of the leading actors in modern Bengali cinema. He predominantly works in Bengali cinema . He is the son of veteran Bollywood actor Biswajit Chatterjee. He began his acting career as a child actor in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's ''Chotto Jigyasa'', for which he won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association – Most Outstanding Work of the Year Award. Following this he appeared in other films as a child actor. His first leading role came through Bimal Roy's ''Duti Pata''. Prosenjit's breakthrough role came opposite Vijeta Pandit in ''Amar Sangi'' (1987), a highly successful romantic drama directed by Sujit Guha. ''Chokher Bali'' ( sand in the eye, constant irritant) is a 2003 Indian Bengali language drama film based on the 1903 novel '' Chokher Bali'' by Rabindranath Tagore. Aandhiyan (English: Storms) is a 1990 Hindi film directed by David Dhawan. It stars Shatrughan Sinha, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Madhushree and Mumtaz in her comeback role after 13 years. The film marked Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee's Hindi film debut. Although this film was Mumtaz's comeback movie, it is also her final film. ''Amar Sangee'' () is a 1987 Indian Bengali-language film directed by Sujit Guha and produced by Dipti Pal. The film features actors Prosenjit Chatterjee and Vijayeta Pandit in the lead roles. The musics of the film was composed by Bappi Lahiri. It is often regarded as one of the most successful films in the Bengali film industry.
