Prakkulam
Prakkulam is a village in Kollam district in the south west Indian state of Kerala. This village is the part of Thrikkaruva Grama Panchayat. In the 19th century, there were beaches in prakkulam for importing and exporting goods. This village is situated 12 km from Kollam junction railway station and 11 km from Kollam K.S.R.T.C Bus Station. Kollam Bypass, which connects National Highway 544 from Kavanad to Mevaram is passing through Prakkulam. Sambranikkodi Sambranikkodi is the southernmost point of Prakkulam. This place is situated in Ashtamudikayal. A Tourism circuit project is launched with the help of Central - State Governments from Sambranikkodi. Thrikkaruva is a village in Kollam district in the state of Kerala, India. Kollam Bypass
Kollam Bypass ( ml, കൊല്ലം ബൈപ്പാസ്) is a part of NH 66 that bypasses CBD of Kollam city in Kerala, India. The busy 13.141 km long bypass starts at Mevaram in the south to Kavanad in the north, via Ayathil, Kallumthazham, Kadavoor and Kureepuzha in Kollam city. It is a joint venture between the central and state government. It was inaugurated on 15 January 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. History Government of Kerala had proposed Kollam bypass project in 1972. The then Public Works Department minister Mr. T. K. Divakaran was the man behind Kollam bypass project. The earlier plan was to construct a bypass road through Kollam city via Olayil, Thevally, Vellayittambalam. But T. K. Divakaran denied that proposal and asked to re-draw the plan through Mevaram. Kollam
Kollam (), also known by its former name Quilon , is an ancient seaport and city on the Malabar Coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea, which is a part of the Arabian Sea. It is north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. The city is on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake and the Kallada river. It is the headquarters of the Kollam district. Kavanad
Kavanad is a suburban area of Kollam Municipal Corporation in Kerala. It is a major market town located at the northern suburb of Kollam City in India. It is coming under Sakthikulangara zone of Kollam Municipal Corporation. It is just 3 km from the port town of Neendakara. Kavanad, a narrow strip of land sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and the Ashtamudi Lake has one of the highest land values in Kollam city. National Highway 544
National Highway 544, commonly referred to as NH 544, (''old number'' NH 47) is a National Highway in South India connecting Salem city in Tamil Nadu to the city of Kochi in Kerala. It is also called the Salem-Kochi Highway. The highway runs through the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, connecting various important cities and towns such as Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur and Kochi.
