Praedor
''Praedor'' is a popular Finnish role-playing game published by Burger Games in 2000 that was adapted from a fictional world created by artist Petri Hiltunen History In the mid-1990s, Finnish book illustrator and comic book artist Petri Hiltunen created a post-apocalyptic fantasy world he called Jaconia, a pseudo-medieval world built on the ruins of an ancient high-technology society. Hiltunen used his new world as the setting for a series of short comics titled ''Praedor'', published in the Finnish role-playing game magazine ''Magus''. He called the comics' protagonists "praedors" — adventurers who explore the old ruins in search of magical artifacts. Hiltunen also used the same setting for a graphic novel, ''Kuninkaan lapset'' (''Children of the King''), in 1998. In 2022 a Praedor omnibus of all Hiltunen's Praedor comics was published. Petri Hiltunen
Petri Hiltunen (born 13 October 1967) is a Finnish cartoonist and illustrator. Hiltunen has produced work in a variety of genres, but is most notable for his fantasy and horror work. He has won the prestigious Puupäähattu award in 2002, which is regarded as the highest honour for Finnish comic artists. He is also a well-known figure in Finnish science fiction fandom and a regular panelist and guest of honour at conventions, such as Finncon. His own comic albums include the horror/fantasy tale ''Laulu yön lapsista'' ("Song of the children of the night"), exploring the vampire folklore of 1562 Russia during the reign of Ivan the Terrible, and a graphic novel version of '' Macbeth''. The fantasy world of Jaconia, created for his ''Praedor'' comics, has been adapted into a role-playing game of the same name. Gamemaster
A gamemaster (GM; also known as game master, game manager, game moderator, referee, or storyteller) is a person who acts as an organizer, officiant for regarding rules, arbitrator, and moderator for a multiplayer role-playing game. They are more common in co-operative games in which players work together than in competitive games in which players oppose each other. The act performed by a gamemaster is sometimes referred to as "Gamemastering" or simply "GM-ing".
