Pothupitiya Kankanamge Pradeepa Nirmali Hemamali Dharmadasa, (born 26 January 1964 as ප්රදීපා ධර්මදාස inhala, popularly as Pradeepa Dharmadasa, is a Sri Lankan musician, playback singer and former stage drama actress in Sri Lankan theatre and television. Personal life She was born on 26 January 1964 in Rawatawatta, Moratuwa as the second in a family of four children. Her father Pothupitiya Kankanamge Dharmadasa worked at Agriculture and Govi Jana Seva Department. Her mother Meda Gamage Hema Dharmadasa was a housewife. She has one elder sister and two younger brothers. His closest brother died by drowning in the sea. She studied at Princess of Wales' College, Moratuwa where she met her mentor Somalatha Subasinghe. Moratuwa
Moratuwa ( si, මොරටුව, ta, மொறட்டுவை) is a large suburb of Colombo, on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka, near Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia. It is situated on the Galle–Colombo (Galle road) main highway, south of the centre of Colombo. Moratuwa is surrounded on three sides by water, except in the north of the city, by the Indian Ocean on the west, the Lake Bolgoda on the east and the Moratu river on the south. ''Ira Handa Yata (Under the Sun and Moon)'' ( si, ඉර හඳ යට, italic=yes) is a 2010 Sri Lankan Sinhala war drama film directed by Bennett Rathnayake and co-produced by Samanmalee Hewamanna and Bennett Rathnayake for Ben Films. It stars two debutantes Dharshani Tasha, and Udara Rathnayake in lead roles along with Saumya Liyanage, Jagath Benaragama and Damitha Abeyratne in supportive roles. Music co-composed by Rohana Weerasinghe and Nadeeka Guruge. It is the 1144th film in the Sri Lankan cinema. The premiere screening of the film was held at 23rd Singapore International Film Festival. The film received positive reviews from critics. The screenplay and some critics reviews were released at 3 November 2010 at Mahaweli Centre, Colombo 7 at 3 pm. Bennett Rathnayake (:si:බෙනට් රත්නායක; born 24 October), is a filmmaker in Cinema of Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan cinema and a television director. DR. Rohana Weerasinghe (born February 18, 1949), is a Sri Lankan musician, composer and singer. Early life Weerasinghe was born on 18 February 1949 in Algiriya, Matara in southern Sri Lanka. He was the youngest child to his parents Henry Weerasinghe and Sepalin Weerasinghe. In 1954, Weerasinghe started schooling from Good Shepard Family Convent in Nuwara Eliya, and later moved to Vidyachakra Buddhist School Ruwan Eliya, Welimada Maha Vidyalaya, Pannipitya Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Gamini Maha Vidyalaya Nuwara Eliya. In 1977, Weerasinghe married to Leela Beatrice De Silva, a dancing teacher in profession. They had two sons, Kalindu Gajaba and Chirath Kanishka. Senadheerage Amarasiri Peiris ( Sinhala:අමරසිරි පීරිස්: born 21 July 1946) is a Sri Lankan singer. One of the most honored singers of Sri Lanka, Peiris is a well known violinist and a vocalist.
