The Powerful United Homeland Party ( hy, Հզոր Միացյալ հայրենիքի կուսակցություն), also known as the Strong United Homeland Party is an Armenian political party in Artsakh. History The Powerful United Homeland Party's founder and current party leader is Vyacheslav Hyusnunts, a former military general and former member of the Communist Party of Artsakh. The party currently has no parliamentary representation within the National Assembly and acts as an extra-parliamentary force. Prior to the 2020 Artsakhian general election, the party endorsed Masis Mayilyan and his New Artsakh Alliance. Ideology The party considers the safety and security of the Artsakh Republic a top priority. The party supports future reunification of Artsakh with Armenia, fighting corruption, growing the economy, and modernizing the military. United Homeland Party
The United Homeland Party ( hy, Միացյալ հայրենիք կուսակցություն, translit=Miats’yal hayrenik’ kusakts’ut’yun) is an Armenian political party. It was founded on 23 April 2021 and is currently led by economist Mher Terteryan. History The party was founded during the 2020–2021 Armenian protests and does not maintain any political representation within the National Assembly of Armenia, National Assembly. The party currently acts as an Extra-parliamentary opposition, extra-parliamentary force. The party confirmed its intentions to participate in the 2021 Armenian parliamentary elections and also stated that they opposed forming any political alliances. Politics of Artsakh takes place within the constraints of a written constitution, approved by a popular vote, that recognises three branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. The executive branch of government is exercised within a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Artsakh is both the head of state and the head of government. The Armenian Revolutionary Federation ( hy, Հայ Յեղափոխական Դաշնակցութիւն, ՀՅԴ ( classical spelling), abbr. The New Artsakh Alliance ( hy, Նոր Արցախ դաշինք) is an Armenian political alliance in Artsakh. History The New Artsakh Alliance was established on 29 January, 2020 during a conference in Stepanakert. The political alliance consists of several liberal parties; supporting the independent presidential candidacy of Artsakh foreign minister Masis Mayilyan. Masis Samveli Mayilyan ( Armenian:Մասիս Սամվելի Մայիլյան; born 14 September 1967) is an Artsakhi politician, diplomat and former presidential candidate. He is currently serving as ambassador-at-large of the Republic of Artsakh. From September 2017 until January 2021, he served as the Foreign Minister of Artsakh. 2020 Artsakhian General Election
General elections were held in the Republic of Artsakh on 31 March 2020, with a second round of the presidential election on 14 April. Voters elected the President and 33 members of the National Assembly. It was the first time the President and National Assembly were elected at the same time. The Free Motherland - UCA Alliance, United Motherland, Justice, ARF, and the Democratic Party won seats in National Assembly. No party won the majority of seats, which means that coalition talks are likely to be held within parties. The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh ( hy, Արցախի Հանրապետության Ազգային ժողով, Artsakhi Hanrapetut'yan Azgayin zhoghov; often shortened: , ) is the legislative branch of the government of the Republic of Artsakh.
